“How are the chickens brought from the farm to the slaughter house?”
At McDonald’s, it’s important to us and our suppliers that animals are always treated humanely - cruelty or abuse is never tolerated. Chickens are carefully hand-placed into crates that travel on an enclosed trailer from the farm to the processing facility, and are transported locally within Ontario. Overall, moving chickens from the farm to processing facility is carefully monitored to protect the birds, and is overseen by a regulatory agency.
